In this workshop you will learn the following:
- Pinpoint the common issues that make arm balances and inversions challenging, and show you effective ways to address them (and no, it's not just about arm strength).
- We will explore relevant anatomy to better understand the physical challenges and body mechanics involved, and will identify which of these challenges are most relevant to each student in the workshop through a series of body analysis techniques.

DEMYSTIFYING ARM BALANCES
Saturday February 11, 10am - 1pm We will cover the most commonly taught arm balances and will start with hip opening, body awareness, and alignment practices to make arm balances not just possible, but spacious, balanced, and free. We will practice each arm balance first upside down in order to emphasize alignment and the importance of cultivating serenity even in challenging poses.

DEMYSTIFYING INVERSIONS
Sunday February 12, 10am - 1pm We will cover handstand, forearm balance and headstand, and just as with arm balances, we will analyze the challenges of each in detail, breaking each pose down into its components to make them approachable even for beginners. We will also cover safety issues to build confidence and ensure everyone's wellbeing, and teach everyone not just how to go upside down, but also how to safely take someone else upside down.
